Dr. Chris Valtierra D.C. CCSP was born and raised in El Paso, Texas where he developed his passion for sports and excelled in football, basketball, and track and field. Upon graduation, Dr. Valtierra attended Texas Tech University where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Sport Sciences with a minor in Psychology. During his time at Texas Tech Dr. Valtierra was heavily involved in club and intramural sports as a supervisor and participant.
After graduating college in 2015, Dr. Valtierra Developed a passion for helping people in need, he was driven to move to Dallas and pursue his doctorate in Chiropractic at Parker University. While attending Parker University, Dr. Valtierra was selected to be a part of Parker’s “Sport Performance Pod” where he helped treat professional bull riders, rodeo clowns, and other PBR staff/participants at PBR events in Ft. Worth.
Additionally, he completed over 320 hours in a sport driven internship where he worked with collegiate athletes, semi-pro and professional boxers, MMA fighters, former NBA players, former and current NFL players, cheerleaders, track athletes, and everyday athletes. Dr. Valtierra is recognized by the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians as a Certified Chiropractic Sport Practitioner (CCSP) and has worked in the sports medicine field for the past 4 years.
